Tide Pool Quilt
This handcrafted quilt is made from 100% pure cotton with a wool batting. The shibori pieces were all hand dyed by me, with a few dyed by the veteran Waldorf teacher Dana Fleming.
Entirely hand quilted using Japanese sashiko cotton thread. The border is hand stitched using a double binding technique so the edge of your quilt is well protected. Quilt measures 52 inches x 56 inches.
It's modeled after a flying geese pattern, and as you can see, perfect points are not my go-to!
As the colors for this piece came together I was reminded of the magical tide pools I've seen along the Oregon coast. A whole world teeming below, ever shifting, unreal greens, mustards and blues.
