Fireweed (Roman Stripe) Quilt

This handcrafted quilt is constructed from a combination of pure linen and 100% natural cotton with a cotton batting.
Entirely hand quilted using cotton Japanese sashiko thread. The border is hand stitched using a double binding technique so the edges of your quilt are well protected. Quilt measures 43 inches x 34 inches.

Inspired by an Amish quilt from 1915.

The vibrant purple represents the Fireweed flower that is found growing wild in North America. The Fireweed gets its name for its ability to colonize burnt sites after forest fires. These electric purple flowers ignite a landscape of charred trees while the forest continues its stages of regrowth.
