Sam Houston Quilt
This handcrafted quilt is constructed from premium muslin cotton, denim chambray cotton and shot cotton. Shot cotton is woven with two slightly different colors, creating a rich depth in color that is not apparent with other solid cottons.
It is entirely hand quilted with Japanese sashiko thread. The quilt measures 34 inches x 46 inches. The border is hand stitched using a double binding technique so the edges of your quilt are well protected. The back of the quilt is solid muslin. The red sashiko thread pops off the monochrome back.
The star formation was inspired by the star found on Sam Houston's hunting knife. Made from silver this simple star says "Houston" etched across the bone handle in cursive. An homage to the founding principles of Texas, this timeless crib sized quilt is like no other. Perfect for your little Texan, boy or girl.
