Beginner's Sashiko Workshop
Join me for an afternoon at my home in Downtown Houston where we will explore the beautiful art of sashiko.
If you've been wanting to explore hand quilting, simple running stitches, or making a pattern with needle and thread, this beginners class is perfect for you. Sashiko is a meditative practice, and the method I use to hand quilt my quilts. No previous sewing or quilting experience necessary. We will stitch onto organic linen, hand dyed by me.
This beginners workshop will be held on Sunday, January 20th, 2018 from 1-4pm.
You'll go home with an indigo sashiko sampler, as well as a needle and thread to continue your practice at home.
Hot tea & cookies will be served.
The class size is limited to 8 people (aged 14 or older). The class requires a minimum of 4 to make. No refunds are given 4 weeks before class start date, however, you are welcome to transfer your class to a friend. If you need to transfer your class, please notify me with at least 48 hours notice.
My address and class details will be sent to participants through email the week before the workshop. Bring a thimble if your fingers are sensitive.
If you have questions, please get in touch! I am happy to answer them.
